Interessen und Inhalte:

Er forscht auf dem Gebiet der Verarbeitung von sensorischer und motorischer Information im menschlichen Gehirn. Im Zentrum stehen dabei perzeptuelles Lernen, multisensorische Integration und Raumkognition. Die gewonnenen Kenntnisse über biologischen Mechanismen kommen in Form von adaptiven und effizienten Algorithmen in technischen Systemen zum Einsatz. Weiterhin beschäftigt er sich mit dem Thema Mensch-Computer Interaktion und der Entwicklung von Smart Outdoor Environments als konsequente Fortsetzung von Smart Home- und AAL-Konzepten im Außenbereich.
